With high school sports on hold, ConVal Club Soccer lost a hard fought game (0-1) in the last minute overtime to the Club from Kearsarge.
Underneath a spectacular sunset, the ConVal Cougar boys defiantly stopped Windham soccer’s undefeated season. With a dazzling header goal by Aiden Hall, a follow up goal by Micah Black, and a strong defense, the boys showed they are a force to contend with. (see shots of Aiden’s goal in the next posting)
Approaching halftime in a game between Windham and ConVal boys soccer, the score was 0-0. Then, picking up a cross-field pass from Max Sturges that almost got stopped by a Windham defender, Aiden Hall moved the ball up the left side toward the Windham goal. However, the keeper came out to stop him. Not to be dissuaded, Aiden headed the ball over the keeper and sent it sailing toward the first goal of the game. He was justifiably happy with the result of this ball handling. Here are 15 photos recording that goal.
The ConVal Cougars took a hard won victory over John Stark HS. After and early goal by Jordan Cooper, goalkeeper Noah Bell had some amazing saves against an onslaught of John Stark attacks. Aided by Manny Bowman, Zach Kriebel and other defenders, the Cougars were able to keep John Stark at bay for the rest of the game. (1-0)
