Oregon Tech’s men’s soccer outplayed Rocky in Saturday’s game but the visitor was able to get one goal to seal the result 0-1.
Arnold Palmer designed the Running Y Resort golf course about 25 years ago. Today it’s a matured course with great landscaping and challenging fairways and holes. The Oregon Tech Athletic Department held its annual fundraiser golf tournament at Running Y on Monday. My son, the men’s soccer coach, showed some great form as he plied the course.
The Oregon Tech Men’s Soccer team worked together Friday to perfect their skills and plays in preparation for their game tomorrow against Sierra Nevada College. Despite the smoke from California fires that laid across the Klamath valley, sometimes the team worked so well together that they seemed like one person. Faces of the players often tell the effort that is being put into a move or play.
Even at the conclusion of a long and sometimes frustrating season the Tech Owls made it to the Cascade Conference championship playoffs for the first time. Their opening game against Rocky Mountain College proved to end their dreams of a championship. Though they played hard, after a 4-0 defeat the young Tech team looked forward to next season.
