There was no shortage of presidential candidates touring New Hampshire on Monday. Senator Bernie Sanders the favorite to win the Democratic primary on February 6 was at Manchester Community College to address a crowd of supporters who hung on his every word. He interacted with the audience several times asking them about college debts and mortgages. One young woman who is a teacher said she has college debts that she will be paying of for 25 years. When Bernie said she should be able to refinance those loans she got very enthusiastic. Prior to Bernie taking the stage there was an almost carnival atmosphere in the room with individuals, couples and groups taking selfies to record their night out with Bernie. Some of those photos can be seen here.
A highlight for me was meeting and getting to know a legendary photographer, David Burnett. David has been published in National Geographic and Time and recorded many of the major world events of the last 45 years and been named one of the “100 Most Important People in Photography” and been named Magazine Photographer of the Year by the National Press Club. Checkout his bio and galleries on his website: http://www.davidburnett.com/ No doubt you will find some photos you recognize.
