A sweet victory over Coe-Brown 3-2
The team was up against a tough #2 ranked Lebanon team and had to work hard together to keep the score even at 0-0 until in the second half when Del Bonsu-Anane headed the ball in the goal as he has done before. The remainder of the game was to avoid fouls and any goals by Lebanon…which the Cougars were able to do. The Victory was sweet and moved the Cougars to the semifinals against #4 ranked Pembroke.
In the pouring cold rain of Saturday, the Cougar Cross Country team slogged through the mud at the state meet. The boys team came in 5th out of 19 teams with Evan Coyne taking 14th place followed closely by Harrison Kim at 16th. All the Cougars were in the top half of the field.
The girls team placed 2nd in the State. Clare Veverka and Rachel Hurley took 5th and 6th respectively. (I missed their race due to all the races being moved up because of the weather)
