My local high school, ConVal Regional, held its graduation this morning on what was an unusually hot day in early June. I was there taking photos, somewhat for the local paper and also for the seniors who have been my subjects on the athletic fields for the last few years. Most of the photos you see here are of kids who I have photographed playing soccer, and tennis, skiing, and wrestling. If any of these students would like larger copies of the images, merely email me and I will be happy to send you the original.
Good luck to you all and be proud of all that you do in the future.
Pete Martel a resident of the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home in Tilton and former Bennington resident tosses a laurel wreath on the Contoocook River in recognition of the naval sacrifices of Bennington sailors. The parade, watched by numerous town residents, comprised veteran’s of the various forces as well as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the ConVal High School Marching Band.
The ConVal Band marched in the Memorial Day parades in several area towns today. Playing Taps, patriotic songs and doing impromptu concerts in the parking lot the band provided a day of great community joy. Under the direction of Jim Wickham, the band showed that it is a strong aspect of the high school’s program.
What a good team does…supports one another.
